Lambi Fund and Greenbelt Movement Update
We are still hoping to make the grassroots reforestation partnership with Greenbelt Movement a reality but we need your help. Please consider making a "stretch gift" to the Lambi Fund to help take our Grassroots Reforestation Program to the next level with a collaboration with the Greenbelt Movement led by Nobel Peace Prize winner Wangari Maathai. Lambi Fund has valuable experience supporting grassroots reforestation in Haiti but know we can learn even more from the 30 years experience of the Greenbelt Movement. Help us make a difference!
Goals of the collaboration include planting one million trees in Haiti, with peer leaders in Kenya and Haiti sharing best practices. Lambi Fund will provide regional conferences and public education to strengthen the reforestation movement. Once the pilot demonstrations have been successfully implemented, the project will be rolled out on a national level in Haiti for countrywide replication.
