How the Red Cross Raised Half a Billion Dollars for Haiti ­and Built Six Homes

NPR and ProPublica released a scathing report this week on the post-earthquake recovery efforts by the American Red Cross. Despite raising more than $500 million, more than any other charity, the Red Cross accomplished little, and ultimately built only six homes. This follows on the heels of the well-documented failings of the Red Cross post-9/11 and post-Katrina.
